1. What are PPBA and Pickerel-Pearson.com?

The Pickerel-Pearson Businesss Association (PPBA)  is a membership organization that promotes tourism and business for the following areas:

• The villages of  Pickerel, Pearson, Lily, Elcho, Deerbrook, Antigo, and Pelican Lake.
• The townships of Ainsworth, Langlade, and Nashville.
• The Mole Lake Sokaogon Chippewa Community.

• Provide information online about our communities to the public
• Provide websites for the members of PPBA and 
• Function as a community website for the areas served by PPBA.

Membership in PPBA is open to businesses and organizations who live in and/or own businesses in the areas served by PPBA. The annual membership fee for PPBA is $60.00.

3. Who can have a website on pickerel-pearson.com?

All members of PPBA can get a free website on pickerel-pearson.com. In addition, community organizations, schools, churches, etc. located in the areas served by PPBA can have a website on pickerel-pearson.com. Your website address will be www.pickerel-pearson.com/yourname (yourname is your business/organization name).

4. Can businesses that are not members of PPBA have a website on pickerel-pearson.com?

Businesses located in the area served by PPBA that are not members of PPBA can have a free link to their email address or have a link to their  website listed on pickerel-pearson.com. Non-member businesses can pay an annual fee of $60.00 to have a website on pickerel-pearson.com. 

5. Can someone design my website?

Yes. The PPBA Webmaster will design your website or you can design the website. Note: PPBA does not provide website design services for non-member businesses.

6.  What is a counter, what is a guestbook and can my website have them?

A counter on your website will track who visits your website. Having a guestbook gives your visitors a way to say hello and is a nice way to stay in touch with future custormers. If your business/organization has an email address, you can have a counter and/or guestbook on your website.

7. Can I get an email address if I'm not online or don't have a computer?

Yes. You can get a free email address from www.yahoo.com at any library that has a computer with Internet access available to the public. You can then check your email at the library or any computer that's online.

8. What do I need to send PPBA for my website?

Mail your business/organization logo, photos, and text to the address below. Please email the text or mail the text saved as a text file on a floppy disk. (No attached files, please). If you want your materials returned, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.  If you would like to design your own website, just mail the html file and any graphics to PPBA.
